Who you're buying from. Tickets on Aura are sold for events run by their hosts. The host sets the ticket price, the event details and each event's refund terms. ParaThoughtLabs (Aura) runs the ticketing service and payments are processed by Stripe.
What you pay. Before you pay, Aura shows your total: the ticket price, Aura's fee (1% + $0.49 per ticket, capped at $2 per ticket) and payment processing. Free events are free. Some hosts include the fees in the ticket price.
The host's refund terms. Each event shows its host's refund terms before you buy. Refunds are requested through Aura and are decided under those terms, except as described below.
Cancelled or changed events. If an event is cancelled, or its date, venue or headline content materially changes, you can get a full refund.
Full refunds. If an order is fully refunded, you get back everything you paid, including Aura's fee and payment processing.
Tickets already used. A ticket that has been scanned for entry is generally not refundable, unless the event was cancelled or did not take place as described.
Refunded tickets stop working. Once a ticket is refunded it can no longer be used for entry.
Timing. Refunds go back to your original payment method. Your bank or card issuer usually shows it within 5 to 10 business days after the refund is issued.
If something goes wrong. Contact the host first through the event page. If the host doesn't respond or you believe a refund is owed, contact support@parathoughtlabs.com with your order details. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank, so we can help resolve it.
These rules add to Aura's Terms of use.
